Common questions

Before you install

Read the documentation
Which tracks can HTDemucs separate?

The standard model separates vocals, drums, bass, and other sounds. An experimental mode also estimates guitar and piano; both can contain bleed, especially piano.

Are my songs uploaded?

Generation and audio processing in the main workflow use models installed on your computer. No account or online generation service is required.

What computer do I need?

Generation uses a CUDA-compatible NVIDIA GPU on Windows and Linux, or Metal on Mac. The setup guide lists the requirements.

Can I use YuE2 in a commercial project?

The YuE2/GGUF weights provided by the project use the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, which restricts commercial use. Read the license before using the weights in a commercial project.
